The Squeeze Please Campaign is an initiative to create much needed awareness of the common female health issue pelvic organ prolapse prior to POP occurring rather than after diagnosis as well as recognition of the purpose of the pc (pelvic floor) muscle. With recognition of POP symptoms and causes comes the potential for earlier detection and less aggressive treatment. POP is a global women's health pandemic.
When not working on the POP Awareness Campaign, Medhelp.org, or the APOPS support network, Sherrie likes to spend time with her local Special Olympics group and will donate a portion of book proceeds to her Special Olympics kids.
Sherrie Palm speaks and writes about POP. Her goals are:
1.Create recognition of pelvic organ prolapse and help women become comfortable talking about symptoms.
2.Make the acronym POP for pelvic organ prolapse become commonly known.
3.Encourage the medical community to start educating women about the importance of of pc (pelvic floor) muscle awareness and Kegel exercises at the first pelvic exam rather than waiting until POP becomes an active physical condition.
4.Network globally on APOPS initiatives to assist women in the diverse path of pelvic organ prolapse treatment.
5.Create recognition of and assist with POP issues that occur in developing areas of the world.
