The purpose of
The POP Awareness Campaign
is to initiate much needed awareness and support for the extremely common female health issue, pelvic organ prolapse. There is a huge need for education; women typically first become aware of POP when they are diagnosed. Creating awareness about this health issue in young women will be extremely instrumental in helping achieve earlier diagnosis and less aggressive treatment.
NO ONE CAN HELP US AS MUCH AS WE CAN HELP OURSELVES
APOPS
The Association for Pelvic Organ Prolapse Support is the first live, local support organization being initiated for women with pelvic organ prolapse. Women will be able to connect with other women to compare notes on symptoms they are experiencing and treatment options they are trying to understand and choose between. There are both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for POP; women are needed who have experience and an understanding of each of these treatment paths to help women who are newly diagnosed find their way through the very personal decision of which treatment option is the best for them.
